Academics

The academic year is based on the CBSE guidelines and is w.e.f. from April to March. The school year consists of two semesters:

Semester I: April to September.

Semester 2: October to March (to check from school).

The proposed teacher student ratio is 1:12 in the primary, and 1:20 in other classes.

Curriculum

Yes, we are a CBSE school and follow the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern to assess each child’s overall progress. This approach ensures a balanced focus on academics as well as co-curricular development, helping students grow in a well-rounded manner.

We follow CCE/FAs/SAs/project work as a part of the ongoing assessment of every child. Learning milestones are a healthy blend of both formative and summative components of assessment. In order to cater to individual learning potential, three levels of worksheets – Acceptance, Balance and Challenge – are planned. The assessment manual provided is appreciative and motivating rather than critical. It also includes detailed and timely feedback with remedial measures. The Millennium School has personalised Performance Enhancement Plans (PEP), which are remedial measures for the learners. They ensure that learning gaps, if any, are bridged before the child is taken to the next level of the concept. To help bridge the gap, a set of remedial books called ‘PEP Tool’ has been designed by the Education Quality Foundation of India’s Research and Development Team.

Admissions

Age is calculated as of 31st March of the academic year:

  •  Nursery: 3.5+ years
  •  KG: 4.5+ years
  •  Class 1: 5.5+ years
Admissions usually open in January for the upcoming academic year. Early registration is advised as seats are limited.

Pre.Primary School up to Class II: No written tests are required from pre-primary to Class II. Here, the admission can be confirmed after an interaction with the senior management of the school.

Senior School: Admission to senior classes can be attained after the child attempts the entrance tests for two subjects, i.e., English EVS and Mathematics.
