Shifting to online teaching was not easy for me. When we were asked to conduct the classes online, I had my inhibitions. I started thinking how was I going to preserve what I thought was most essential in teaching and learning process - regular student interaction, the freewheeling give and take as we discussed certain topic. The moment we were told about online classes, macro level concerns (coronovirus) took a backseat and we started exploring different tools for online teaching It’s been a week that we have been teaching students through different tools –zoom app, eztalk, google classroom, fliplearn modules. I come to conclusion that learning outcomes are same in both realm (traditional & online) just I am using different vehicle now to get there. As our Principal Ma’am always says that “Learning, unlearning and relearning- that is what life is about”. I unlearnt my disinterest of using technology for teaching and relearn that it seems more interesting if used in proper way.
