The sacred festival, Eid-ul-Fitr, was celebrated today at The Millennium School, Patiala, with joy and enthusiasm. Kindergarten students, at a special assembly organized for the occasion, presented a dance-drama and colourful cultural programme which was received well by the audience. Members of the academic staff were suitably dressed in Muslim outfits. The spirit of Eid was in the air on the campus. The Principal, Mrs. Neelinderjeet Kaur Sandhu, applauded the effort of the staff and students. While addressing, the Principal appealed that all should live and rise above the petty feelings of religion, caste and creed. She averred that all human beings are the creation of one God, “Awal Allah Noor Upaya Kudrat Ke Sab Bande”, meaning thereby that all deserve and should be given equal respect irrespective of the religion they belong to, whether they are hindus, muslims or Sikhs.
