The Millennium School, Lucknow celebrated the 69th Republic Day and the pride of being an Indian citizen with a host of events, marked with festive spirit and gaiety. The day began with the welcome speech delivered by the Head girl of the school, Juwariya Waqar Beg followed by the Head Boy, Rahim Ahmad.
The Indian tricolour was hoisted by the Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami. Patriotism reverberated in the air as the students sang the national anthem with great pride and ardour. A thought-provoking nukkad natak, based on the theme of ‘Women empowerment’ stimulated the members in the audience.
Dr. Goswami addressed the students and hailed them to wake up to the call of duty as the nation summons them. Her speech was followed by the most unique of Millennium features, awarding the best dressed teachers. Teachers who have been working deligently for the school were also felicitated.
The highlight of the event was the partriotic song mellifluently sung by Priyanshi Saxena which added patriotic fervor to the ambience . It was a memorable day with cherished memories that would last for a lifetime.
