The students of Class IX-X went to Gomti River Front for an educative excursion on 6th May,2017.
The Gomti river meanders through 940 km stretch of rich alluvial plains of Uttar Pradesh. The children learnt about the development of the Gomti River Front on the lines of river Thames and subsequently Sabarmati river. They were told about the various harmful effects of the release of effluence from sugar factories and distilleries into rivers. They also saw the sewage treatment plan which has the capacity of 345 million of effluence per day. They saw the construction of the rubber dam as well.
It was an extremely useful trip for all Geography students of IX-X. The Principal of the school, Dr.Goswami appreciated the initiative of the faculty members and implored them to plan more such educational tours in future.
