Corruption is the single greatest plague that is slowly asphyxiating our country. With this issue widespread today, it is time for the youth to take a stand as this would ensure a brighter future for them. With this thought in mind, the CBSE Board celebrated a ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ (28thOctober-2nd November, 2013) so as to honour and encourage awareness and willpower among adolescents.
Taking this opportunity, The Millennium School organised a seminar for the students of class Tenth, helping them form opinions and giving them a protected platform to voice their angst, concerns and even remedies regarding the vice of corruption. While some students took to the stage and gathered facts to initiate discussions, the highly interactive session involved critical analysis of facts, strong rebuttals and whole hearted agreements. Assisted by power point presentations, videos and astonishing facts, the seminar was a depiction of just how strong modern India is.
After the heated and impassionate debates came to an end, the Principal of the school, Dr. Goswami appreciated the spirit of the students. She reminded them that their words must be reflected in their actions. She said that their small but crucial steps could change the detrimental situation. As the seminar came to an end, all students were found leaving the auditorium with a new determination and hearts full of patriotism and courage.
