CHILDREN’S DAY BASH AT THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL

“Children are like buds of roses in a garden. They should be carefully and lovingly nurtured as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow” – Jawaharlal Nehru.

‘Chacha Nehru’ as the children fondly referred to Jawaharlal Nehru, was extremely fond of children. He addressed them as the real strength of the country and the foundation of any society. As a tribute to this great man and his love for the children, his birthday i.e14th November is celebrated all over India as Children’s day.

The facilitators at The Millennium School played host to a fun-filled day for the students on 14th of November. A special Assembly was prepared by the faculty as a mark of affection for their students. The Morning Prayer and all the other important segments of the assembly were taken care of, by the teachers. The real magic began when the teachers performed a cultural programme for the students. A vibrant ramp walk was presented by the teachers representing the different states of the country. A mellifluent sing-along was also presented by the teachers. The children could barely conceal their excitement. Furthermore, numerous activities and games were arranged for the children. The students of ‘Little Millennium’ and MLS1 shared sumptuous snacks with one another. The Principal of the school, Dr. Goswami arranged luscious cakes for each class. The students cut cakes in the classrooms and enjoyed the mouthwatering dessert.

The students of MLS 2 and MLS 3 went for a picnic to ‘Ganga Fisheries’ and ‘Eco-Park’ respectively. There was an atmosphere of fun and frolic among the students. The students played several games like football, badminton, cricket etc. and explored the huge place. As they finished enjoying snacks it was time to return, exhausted, they thanked the teachers for a memorable day.
