World Human Rights Day

Special Assembly on World Human Rights Day

Human rights are the inalienable rights of a person which he/she must inherit by virtue of being a human being. Human rights are thus universal and egalitarian. Despite the universality, strong rhetoric claims made by the human rights activists continue to provoke considerable skepticism and debates about the content, nature and justification of human rights to this day.

The Millennium School, Lucknow conducted a special assembly to commemorate the importance of this day. The students of Class IX-D put up a thought-provoking show to spread awareness on the relevance of human rights. A power-point presentation was shown to highlight the domain of these rights. The students gave a presentation on Rights against oppression, Right to freedom and life. The assembly was extremely educative and illuminating. The Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami applauded the efforts of the students and stressed the need to implement these rights in full measure for the down-trodden sections of the society.
