The cheers at the end of school became louder this week with the thought of long holidays and heavy sacks of gifts! Christmas is up on us! While the excitement of decorating our houses, lighting the trees, receiving and sharing gifts is the reason for the spring in our steps, it is the Christmas spirit of joy, kindness, giving and love that exhilarates us. Although the thought of Santa’s visit does excite us, we feel happier by helping the needy. Be it small acts like helping an old lady cross the street or anonymous ones like donating blankets to an NGO. Although everyone loves the lights, let’s tone them down this time and instead light the lamp of compassion. Let’s not go on a gift shopping spree for the rich but give the needy some love and affection.
This Christmas season, the Millennium family, thanks to our respected Principal Ma’am, organized a Christmas carnival, ‘Heartstrings’ for the cause of underprivileged children in the rural areas .The Millennium family left no stone unturned , with the students as Santa's little helpers, we sang in the praise of the Lord , gobbled up Santa's cookies and learned the true art of giving through the special assembly arranged by the students of MLS2.A beautiful enactment from the Bible reminded us of the relevance of good old virtues that make the world go round.
Last but not the least ,no Christmas is complete without the ones you love- the company of family and friends is all that anyone needs, so make them feel special this season, not by buying them shiny gifts but by the time and thought you put in for them.
Merry Christmas!
