Central Board of Secondary Education (under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India) took up the robust mission of celebrating Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on the occasion of Sardar Patel’s Birth Anniversary on 31st Oct, 2014 . In this connect, The Millennium School, Lucknow was appointed as one of the four centers in Lucknow to carry out events to celebrate this beneficent event.

Students from several schools across the city participated in this momentous event. The event commenced with a special assembly marked by the inspirational Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge. The assembly was followed by the RUN FOR UNITY mini marathon, to stress the significance of physical fitness.

The school also hosted a Collage/Poster making Competition wherein the participants channelized their creativity to articulate their thoughts on national unity and integrity.

The Principal of the school, Dr. Goswami warmly acknowledged the impressive creations of the children. She addressed the students accentuating the relevance of Sardar Patel’s life and philosophy. The occasion provided a befitting platform to highlight the unity and strength of the youth and the nation at large.
