World population day is an annual event, celebrated on 11th day of July to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of The Millennium School to mark the importance of the World Population Day. A special assembly was organised where the students were explained the benefits of both nuclear family and joint family system. A PPT was shown to the students depicting the population rate, rise/fall in global population. They were also told about the disadvantages of population increase in the country.
The assembly ended with the eloquent words of the Principal, Dr. Manjula Goswami. She applauded the efforts of the students and urged the students to become good citizens and imbibe good values and ethics in their lives.
