Natural learning cannot be limited to the classrooms, as there are a lot of things to learn beyond the classroom walls. Nature is the best teacher, provided that the learner must be at the nearest to nature. Keeping the objective our priority, The Millennium School organised a visit to Lucknow Zoo for the students of Grade LM & I. A great deal of excitement among the students filled the air. From the cages of hyenas, to jackals, rabbits, alligators, deer etc, the students got a chance to observe closely all the animals there. On having a glance at the White tiger and the lion, the students got quite thrilled. They were also fascinated to see some beautiful birds like Emu, Great Pied Hornbill, Ostrich, Golden, and Silver Pheasant. They also spotted rarely seen animal species like Hoolock Gibbon, Himalayan Black Bear and Barking Deer etc. The vintage train exhibited in the zoo premises caught the attention of the students. The star attraction of the trip was the toy train. The students were entertained to board the toy train that ran through the zoo. In true sense, this visit to the zoo helped our students to correlate the concepts they had been learning in class with real life experiences gathered at the zoo. This visit got them a chance to be closer to the nature and learn more about the animal kingdom and their habitat. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Head of the Institution Dr. Manjula Goswami for organising the Zoo excursion and giving them a fun-filled day with cherished memories
