REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS AT TMS, LUCKNOW
The 67th Republic Day of India was replete with the vibrancy of the Tricolour. The Millennium School, Lucknow celebrated the day; and the pride of being an Indian citizen with a host of functions marked with festive spirit and gaiety.
The day began with the welcome speech delivered by the Head girl of the school, Radhika Jhunjhunwala. The Indian tricolour was hoisted by the Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami. Patriotism reverberated in the air while singing the national anthem. A nukkad natak based on the theme of ‘The Girl Child’ moved people to tears.
The Choir performance of Class V students was much applauded. Class IV students made everyone clap and cheer on their dance performance on the song 'Vande Mataram'. It was followed by the most unique of Millennium features, awarding the best dressed teachers.
The Principal of the school, Dr.Goswami called upon the students and inspired them to work and contribute to the cause of the nation. The day culminated with the distribution of sweets.
