‘HEARTSTRINGS’
The Millennium School, Lucknow organised a fun and buoyant fete on 14th December,2013 with the pronounced aim of raising funds towards aiding rural education. The event saw various kinds of entertaining stalls to engage people of all age groups in fun activities. Small children took an instant fancy for the thrilling Lucky Seven, breath-taking Hoopla, the electrifying treasure hunt, the heart-stopping roll the dice, the rip-roaring hit the can, the absorbing catch your luck and the interesting Joker Mania ;while the teenagers ran for the riveting Jukebox, the foot-tapping Dance Mania and the enthralling Tattoo Making.
At the Hot Shots stall, the players’ football skills were put to test as they had to shoot a football through the hollow of a truck tyre. The visitors had a nice time, showing off their marksmanship in shooting balloons.
There were myriad shops wherein moms could buy designer wear, Chicken Kurtis, handloom products, bed sheets, jute bags etc. There was an Instant photography stall to preserve enchanting memories for life.
The eateries served motley of sumptuous food. Starting with appetizers like soups, momos, bhel-puri, sweet corn to Chaat, Chinese, Mughlai , Italian ;the stalls boasted plenty of variety.
The icing on the cake was the intriguing Lucky Draw; with exotic prizes, like microwave, mixer/grinder and Induction cooker. The fete was a fun-filled fiesta, full of frolicking frenzy. The students, staff members and guests enjoyed the event thoroughly.
Behind the scenes, the students made great efforts to help organise the event. Wheel-chair ferries were arranged for grand-parents. Our students escorted them around the place. The students made charts, banners, buntings, cut-outs; and made conspicuous and prominent kiosks to attract maximum people to their stall. The Principal, Dr. Manjula Goswami, along with her enthusiastic team saw to it that the fete was well organised and culminated into a massive success.
