‘All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence’.
These words by Martin Luther King Jr. clearly state the importance that the lowest rung of the working community holds in our lives. It is unimaginable for us to attend school, in the absence of drivers and cleaners who plod on numerous routes to bring us to school; The sweepers who provide a clean bill of health in school; the peons and didis who work inexhaustibly for the smooth running of the school.
On the occasion of ‘Labour Day’, The Millennium School organized a special assembly to acknowledge the contribution of this support column of the school. Students actively participated in the special assembly and the day’s euphoria was spread in the whole school. Students and teachers played host and presented heart-warming gifts to the indispensable scaffolding that inconspicuously help us reach greater heights . It was a memorable event not only for the helpers of the school but for students as well.
The Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami applauded and also felicitated the employees who had been honest and persevering in the line of duty.
