1st May is celebrated as labour day all over the world with utmost importance. The day is also known as The International Worker’s Day, which has a historic significance.
Labour day at The Millennium School was celebrated with great aplomb. The assembly started with a speech welcoming the workers and acknowledging their hard work.
Prayer marked the beginning of the programme. Little children gave handmade cards to the helpers with love and reverence. The Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami, shared her thoughts on the priceless contribution of the workers for the smooth functioning of the institution. She also briefed the students about the dignity of labour. Workers were overwhelmed watching the function and expressed their gratitude towards the school management, teachers and students of their endeavor.
The ceremony came to a close with the National Anthem.
