The Millennium School, South City, Lucknow, celebrated the momentous occasion of 74th Independence of the Country with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour
The celebration started with an articulate speech by the Head Girl of the school, Riya Mathur kindling a zeal , earning a well deserved approbation, followed by the Flag hoisting ceremony. The tri-colour was unfurled by senior management of the school.Patriotism reverberated in the air as the students sang national anthem with great pride and ardour . Students of MLS 1 & 2 sang a beautiful patriotic song " Ae watan mere watan......"  which exhibited the spirit of freedom and patriotism in the arena.
The teachers , donned the attire exhibiting the obvious tricolours , took over after the celebrations to conduct a class assembly followed by a special session for the students discussing the importance of the day. 
Students participated in a number of vibrant spectrum of activities and competitions conducted by the school. The winners & participants of all the competitions were awarded and applauded during the class teacher’s session.

Creative writing ( Class XII) on the theme India of my dreams 
The Principal of the school, Dr Manjula Goswami congratulated the students and urged them to value and nurture this freedom.
