As we enter the 71st year of our independence, people all across the nation are dressed in the triumphant colors of patriotism. The Millennium School, Luck now is no exception. The morning of 15th August marked festivities, joy and celebration for The Millennium fraternity.
The event began with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony. The Principal of the School,Dr.Manjula Goswami unfurled the tricolor while the staff and students saluted the flag and recited the National Anthem. The Head Boy and Head Girl of the School Body stimulated their comrades with an exulting speech. Dr. Goswami inspired the children with her motivating words and made them realize the significance of the hard earned freedom. The school paid homage to the martyrs who laid their lives for the nation. The students of Class I came to school , dressed as freedom Fighters. There was Subhash Chandra Bose,Gandhiji,Rani Laxmi Bai and many other well-respected characters of Indian History. The students of Class II to Class V had an illustrious speech competition. The students of Class VI to VIII paid respect to the nation through a ‘PAINT AND BRUSH’ Competition. A fiery declamation was organized in MLS 3 i.e Class IX to X. The senior school vocalists presented some reverberating patriotic melodies which enthralled the audience.
The teachers who were dressed to the occasion were felicitated by the Dr.Goswami. The elation culminated with the distribution of sweets.
