HINDI DIWAS

14th September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas across the country with utmost importance.  This Red Letter Day is celebrated to highlight the importance of Hindi Language in  India as well as abroad.

Post independence, Hindi was adopted as the National Language of India by the Constituent Assembly on 14th September 1949. Hence the day has its marked importance.

Over 258 million people use Hindi as their mother tongue and it holds 5th position amongst the world’s most commonly spoken languages.

The Millennium School celebrated this day enthusiastically through a special assembly. A  Power Point Presentation was shown to  the students. A Puppet Show was organized on this occasion. A folk dance was also performed by the students. The Principal of the School, Dr. Manjula Goswami, shared her valuable thoughts on this  occasion.

 

The celebration came to an end with the National Anthem.
