The students of The Millennium School, South City , Lucknow celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great zeal and fervor on 1st October,2018. A Special Assembly was conducted emphasizing love, peace, tranquility, human dignity- the values instilled by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the father of our nation, a great leader, an immortal soul who taught the world how to win a war in peace.
The Assembly began with a special tribute to our ‘Father of the Nation’, and an eloquent thought that emphasized the importance of the concept of non-violence.
The special assembly was a sincere effort by the students of Middle school, where a PPT was shown to give a deep insight into the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi and encouraged them to think about his vision of a beautiful India, laden with values and ethics. It finally concluded with the performance of a beautiful song which filled the ambience with a feeling of patriotism for our country.
The programme was well appreciated by the Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami. She addressed the gathering and shared her own views on peace and non-violence, which inspired the young minds. She emphasised the importance of the famous message quoted by Mahatma Gandhi , “ Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
