Dussehra Celebration (VI to VIII)

Dussehra Celebration (VI to VIII)

The tenth day of Navratri is known as Dussehra. It is the celebration of good over evil. We burn effigies of the demon king, Ravana, who was vanquished by Lord Ram.

Keeping this festive spirit alive, the morning of 19th of October commenced with an air of gaiety, when The Millennium School, Lucknow, conducted a special assembly in its Auditorium.

Scenes from Ramayana were enacted to develop the mythological feeling among the students. The significance of the festival was shown through a visual presentation.

The students dramatized the roles of the different characters from the epic. They were beautifully dressed in costumes and confidently delivered their dialogues. A dance on ‘Ramji  ki Nikli Sawari’ glorified the occasion.

The Principal, Dr. Manjula Goswami, appreciated the students for their wonderful performance and she further emphasized that in our multicultural society, we need to instill and enforce the universal values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, compassion, patriotism and solidarity in the children.
