The Millennium School, Southcity Lucknow organised "Dandiya Night” a fun and buoyant Pre-Diwali celebration, on 19th October 2019 , a harbinger of festivities, in the school premises.
A cultural evening of Dandiya Raas and Garba along with famous cuisine and games stalls generated immense fun and frolic. People in pursuit of a refreshing break from their hectic daily schedule, enjoyed the evening with an absolute sense of freedom and exaltation. It was an evening well spent with the loved ones , while enjoying the festive fervor with scrumptious food and shopping spree .
After the auspicious lighting of the lamp, the audience embarked upon a beautiful journey, replete with the stupendous performance of the underprivileged students of the Open Door Project. The school has initiated an Open Door Project, that brings the underprivileged children from slums to the school campus to gain knowledge. Apart from education the school also takes care of their books, stationery items and other paraphernalia required. The event gave these children a substantial platform to showcase their talent in front of everyone. Their riveting dance earned a thunderous applause. The incredible acrobats and the burgeoning talent of these young performers swayed the audience. The guests rejoiced the adorable endeavour of these students.
Apart from being appreciated and applauded for their incredible performance at the event ,they were also given many awards and benefactions which brought a cheerful grin on their faces .It was a beautiful moment that unified their emotions and felicity at the same time. The spree of the event gave these children a new enthusiasm to move ahead in life.
The amalgamation of disco lights with the foot tapping beats of the famous DJ Moni added a new dimension to the Dandiya trend at TMS. The crowd experienced a new musical high and ecstasy of this celebration on the scheduled night. It was a wonderful spectacle of groovy dance moves of not only young boys and girls swirling in graceful rhythmic patterns but also the parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties siblings and friends delicately balancing themselves on the light-footed beats.It seemed as if the raucous music had cast musical spell on everyone.
The event culminated with a prize distribution ceremony wherein the best Best Mother & Son/Daughter Jodi, Best Father & Son/Daughter Jodi, Best Grandfather & Grand Son/Grand Daughter Jodi , Best Grandmother & Grand Son/Grand Daughter Jodi , Best Bhai-Behen Jodi, Best Saas-Bahu Jodi, Best husband- Wife Jodi, Best Buddies Jodi were felicitated .
The Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami, along with her enthusiastic team saw to it that the event was well organised and evolved as a roaring success. She personally attended to the arrangements to ensure a smile on the faces of all guests.
