Astronomy is the branch of science which deals with celestial objects, space and the Physical Universe as a whole. The students of The Millennium School, South City, Lucknow, enthusiastically participated in the Astronomy Camp held in the school premises from 23rd to 25th November, 2018.
Besides having a knowledgeable session,the students also had a wonderful experience of spending a night out at school enjoying various activities. The event started with riveting Balloon games followed by a fascinating Dandiya dance. The students really enjoyed and savoured the time spent at the NIGHT OUT EXTRAVAGANZA in the school premises.
The event was a great learning experience as the exceptional Astronomy Camp caught the attention of the vibrant young minds and allowed them to broaden their imagination. Carefully crafted activities and precision engineered instruments committed the students into an unforgettable experience.
The students observed the celestial clockwork through powerful telescopes and with carefully planned hands on activities. They witnessed the moon, Mars and various mysterious objects of the galaxies. They were also introduced to the intriguing wonders of the night sky.
After the stargazing, a bonfire was set up in the field for the students to beat the chill. It was an invigorating and engaging experience for everyone.
The Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami , implored the students to imbibe an appreciation for all things relevant to nature. She said that the Astronomy Camp develops a better understanding of science and innovation while a night out with peers help children become independent and encourage bonding amongst peers and teachers as well.
