To mark the remarkable journey of a nation that emerged out of colonial oppression after a historic freedom movement, the 75th Independence Day this year was celebrated with fervour and zest by Indians worldwide._ The Millennium School, South city Lucknow, celebrated this auspicious day with great enthusiasm. A virtual Special Assembly was conducted in order to spread the importance and awareness of the Independence Day highlighting the theme- *Nation First – Always First.* The mesmerising celebration started with patriotism echoing in the air as the students sang National Anthem with great pride and ardour. The celebration continued with articulate speeches by the Head Girl, Nirbheeka Singh and the Head Boy, Yuvraj Aggarwal of the school, kindling a zeal and earning a well-deserved approbation; followed by a vibrant spectrum of activities and competitions conducted by the school. The winners and participants of all the competitions were awarded and applauded. The Principal of the School, Dr. Manjula Goswami addressed the students and hailed them to wake up to the call of duty as the nation summons them. She reminded the students of the struggle and sacrifices our bravehearts underwent and the blood they gave to bless us with this Independence of life and also urged them to value and nurture this freedom.
