The Millennium School, Kurukshetra conducted Inter-house Cricket Tournament (Boys) from 24 April to 28 April 2017. The four houses -Agni, Jal, Prithvi and Vaayu took part in this sports event with fervour. The matches were conducted in two categories- under 14 and under 17 for the classes VI-VIII and IX- XII respectively. In the semi- final matches, Prithvi house and Jal house qualified for the final match in the Junior category, and Agni house and Vaayu house qualified in the Senior category. All the players had practised for their respective house with much vigour . In these exciting matches, Principal Dr. A. K. Singh tossed the coin and the batting and the bowling teams were selected respectively. In the final match (Junior category), Jal house won the match by six wickets by chasing the target of 42 runs. Akshit was declared the ‘Man of the Match’. On the other hand, Vaayu house, in the Senior category, won the tournament by seven wicket while chasing the target of 65 runs. Aniket Batan was declared the ‘Man of the Match’. Aman Saini of Agni house remained on the pitch till the end of the match. Students of classes IX-XII also enjoyed watching the finals and cheered up the team of their house. In the end, Principal Dr. A. K. Singh congratulated the winner teams for their spectacular performances. He also encouraged the students to maintain team-spirit in their life also to lead a more balanced and exemplary life.
