On auspicious occasion of Navarati “Sumiran Manh”-a special programme of Bhajans for the grandparents of the students was organized in The Millennium school, Kurukshetra. A special arrangement was made in the multipurpose hall of the school on 30th October 2019. The grandparents- Dada, Dadi, Nana, Nani of the students of classes I-III were all the special guests and attraction of the event. The devotional event was initiated in the morning with the Shri Ganesh Stuti .  Mr. Mayank Bhardwaj, Mr. Bhavnish Mata and the students, who are the Mozarts of the school, trolled various melodious and divine songs one by one.  Sirjan of class XI chanted ‘Satyam Shivam Sundram’, Swayam of class X sang ‘ Dhan Bhag Hamare’ and the little singers Pawani and Sodat enunciated ‘Achutam Keshavam Krishan Damodmar’ with immense melody and devotion. Various bhajans were presented on the demand of the special dignitaries.  Some grandparents also intoned the bhajans of their own choice. All of them felt elated and spell bound. The melodious echoes of chants of mantras and spiritual hymns spreading bliss and contentment could be heard in the vicinity of the school.All the staff members and the students of the school felt rejuvenated and resolved to create and evolve religious and pious ambience with the blessings of both God and the grandparents. The idea behind the celebration was to acknowledge and appreciate the earnest and selfless endeavours put in by the elderly people in the family and society to strengthen the ages old Indian traditions and values. Scientific education philosophy of The Millennium School firmly believes that a civilization can be sustained and maintained with the blessings of the Almighty and the elderly beings as they look upon us as our guide and true well wishers. The event culminated with the distribution of prashad. This event proved to be the occasion of bonhomie as well as the amalgamation of affection and divinity.Principal Dr. A.
