Republic Day has a great importance in every Indian's life. This day reminds us the power and vitality of democracy in our lives as citizens of free India. The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated the 70th Republic Day with great patriotism and zeal. All the teachers and the students marked their presence on this conspicuous occasion. First of all Principal Dr. A. K. Singh unfurled the National Flag which was followed by the singing of the melodious National Anthem. Then, there was the chanting of  Udghosh ‘Desh Ke Bachche’ as a pledge  to protect the nation as our foremost duty and  responsibility. The students sang in the praise of the Motherland through the group song ‘Vande Mataram’ with extreme patriotism. Avika, Kunika and Samriddhi recited the patriotic poems with zestful expressions. Divyam and Prisha Bansal reminded the vitality of this red letter day through their adorable speeches. All the students were also addressed by the Principal. He exhorted to respect the constitutional rights and fulfil the abiding responsibilities diligently as both of these go hand in hand. In the end of the ceremony, sweets were distributed among the students.
