A parenting workshop was held in The Millennium School, Kurukshetra to make the parents acquainted with the prerequisites of ideal parent-child relationship. Mr. Rohit and Ms. Sonia Pillai from Family Vision, New Delhi held an informative session on the quintessential life-skill of parenting in the 21st century. The parents were informed how happiness and success of a child are integrated with self-awareness, self-management, awareness of others and relationship management. It was explained how E.Q. i.e. Emotional Quotient plays a pivotal role in the life of an individual. The parents were explained how emotions follow behavior and if we want to change our emotions, it is mandatory to change our reflective behaviour as a parent. It was exemplified that courtesy, kindness, inclusion, keeping the word, listening and understanding all walk hand in hand to transform the attitude, behaviour and habits of a child to mould him/her into an exemplary leader. The parents appreciated the interactive session and introspected fairly as a parent to be the best role model to their child. They also learnt why appreciation is more constructive than criticism. Principal Dr. A. K. Singh thanked the motivational speakers for such an informative and useful session. He also expressed his gratitude to the responsive and conscious parents, Mrs. Monika Arora (Marketing Head of The Millennium Schools) and Mr. Virender Singh (Chairperson of Child Welfare Association, Kurukshetrta) for attending the workshop.
