‘Freedom is the oxygen of the soul.’ The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated the 75th Independence Day of the nation with great patriotism and zest. All the teachers and administrative members marked their presence on this auspicious occasion in the school campus. Principal Dr. A. K. Singh hoisted the National Flag and all sang the National Anthem in unison. On the other hand, the students celebrated the National Festival virtually from their abode with great zeal. The students recited the patriotic poems in Hindi and English. Vrinda of class III recited ‘I Love my Country’ and othe r students of class III also recited ‘Sabka Pyara Desh Hamara’. The little singers of class IV and V sang the melodious songs and delivered speeches altogether exhibiting their love for their motherland, India. In addition to this, the tiny-tots of the Little Millennium also shared their videos with the school. The scintillating dances and enthusiastic slogans were also sent by the students. All the tokens of patriotism were compiled in a video and broadcast among the students and the teachers. The celebration proved that Covid-19 can not dampen down the feelings of students for the nation festival. Principal Dr. A. K. Singh appreciated the efforts of the Millennium students. In his address he stated that 15 August is a day to celebrate the freedom, peace and unity of our great nation. All must work hard to make India stronger than before even in the challenging situation of Covid-19.
