The Millennium School, Kurukshatra paid homage to the brave Indian soldiers who fought for the Motherland at Kargil, Jammu and Kashmir in 1999. Entire school observed two-minutes silence and commemorated the vital day with dedication. A video, approved by the Prime Minister of India, was shown to the students of all the classes. It depicted the scenario of the entire battle and the grandeur of the invincible Indian army very well. It was an exotic moment when each member of the school was overwhelmed with the patriotic emotion.Students shared their feelings about the nation and its brave soldiers with great passion. Teachers also shared their experiences they had at the time of war when the entire nation stood integrated and prayed for the safety and victory of the great warriors fighting in the adverse circumstances. News based on the Operation Vijay was also played in each class. Principal Dr. A. K. Singh expressed his gratitude to the soldiers of Operation Vijay for their valour and patriotism. He encouraged the children to be a pure Indian by heart and must respect the motherland as a true Hindustani.
