The students of The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated the national festival of France ‘ Le Quatorze Juillet’ with great enthusiasm. A Special assembly was organized to give honour to the third most popular language in the world. First of all important information about the history of France was given to the students. Then, a mesmerizing French song, which was introduced by the UNICEF, was sung by the children. Another French song sung by the famous singer ‘Indila’ was also sung by the learners of class 7th melodiously. The students of class 6th recited a French poem ‘Ah les Crocodile’ rhythmically. A skit was also staged by the class 8th students. The students who visited France last year shared their memorable moments. The girls of class 8th also presented a dance on a French song. All the learners liked the assembly very much and some parts of the programmes were kept bilingual for their comprehension. The school provides the facility to the learners to learn French as the third language from class 5th to 10th. All present appreciated the earnest endeavours of the learners to exhibit their knowledge in French so skilfully.
