Inter-house Radio Jockey competition was organised in The Millennium School, Kurukshetra this afternoon. The selected students of classes VI to X participated in this event wholeheartedly. Three students from each house- Agni, Jal, Prithvi and Vaayu participated in this competition. All the twelve participants were very excited to present the given announcements in a very engaging manner. They accomplished the given tasks of the announcements beautifully and exhibited their eloquence on the Public Announcement system of the school. All the students, on the other hand, sitting in their classes, enjoyed the competition. This was a unique experience for all the students. The students were adjudged on the basis of voice quality, delivery which included diction, pronunciation, pitch and intonation, and content. Eminent personality, Mr. Brij Sharma associated to the field of radio, theatre and drama was invited as the judge.
Smridhi Bali from Jal house secured the first position from Jal house, while Vidushi Bhardwaj and Aarushi from Vaayu house got second and third position respectively. The veteran judge appreciated the Millennium students for their presentation and ability to speak well. He interacted with the participants and gave them tips to speak on radio. Principal Dr. AK Singh thanked the judge for his judgement and congratulated the students for their confidence and brilliant performance in the competition. He told that such competitions not only make the students fluent, but also enable them understand the importance of good communication skills in their life.
