The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with great patriotism and respect. All the teachers and the students marked their presence on this auspicious occasion. First of all Principal Dr. A. K. Singh unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. Then, there was Udghosh - A Pledge to protect the Nation which gives us everything including the free atmosphere we live in. The students sang group song ‘Yeh Tan Hai Vatan Ka, Vatan Hai Hamara’ with extreme dedication. Patriotic poems on the vitality of this red letter day were also presented by Vanshika and Jaskirat. Muneera and Anshika expressed their sentiments and aspirations for the country through English and Hindi speeches. A vibrant dance in the praise of India was also displayed. Principal Dr. A. K. Singh in his speech told about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs did for the sake of our freedom. He urged the students to take the pledge towards a preserved and strengthened India to commemorate its sovereignty. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity. In the end of the ceremony, sweets were distributed among the students.
