The Millennium School, Kurukshetra organized a ‘Cultural Evening’ with great zest. The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest Dr. (Mrs.) Taruna Chaudhary Dhall, Principal, College of Education, Kurukshetra University, which was followed by Ganesh Stuti and Saraswati Vandana. Principal, Dr. A. K. Singh formally welcomed the eminent guests and introduced the Hon’ble Chief Guest to the gathering and read the School’s Annual Report of the past session. The students of classes VI – XII exhibited their hidden talent and emotions through various dances, songs and plays.The Haryanvi Folk Dance was a depiction of the rich, radiant and vibrant culture and eminence. The spiritual ‘Kalam-E- Khusro’ was successful in mingling the soul of the audiences with the Almighty. The vibrant Bollywood Qawwali and the evergreen songs included in the ‘Blast from the Past’ enthralled the listeners. Scintillating Western Dance performed by students was a specimen of exuberance and unmatched zeal and rhythm. The laudable Contemporary Dance was worthy to be seen. Hindi play ‘Moh Bhang’ imparted the crucial message that one must not be oblivious and ignorant about his/her motherland. The English play ‘Dear Departed’ depicted dwindling warmth in filial relationship in modern scenario. Bhangra and Giddha showcasing the flavor of Punjab was a thrilling visual treat. Fillers were also presented in the form of melodious songs sung by the talented students.The Chief Guest Dr. Taruna Chaudhary Dhall appreciated the pupils for their sparkling performances. She stated that education plays a vital role in life, and students must work hard to get knowledge to become a refined and adorable personality. The function culminated with the Vote of Thanks and Grand Finale followed by the National Anthem.
