Army Day was celebrated in the school campus with extreme patriotism. All the students were informed about the day by delivering a speech in the morning assembly. A video was shown on the smart class which was very informative. The students came to know that the day is celebrated to mark respect for Lieutenant Colonel K M Cariappa taking over as commander-in-chief of the Indian Army in 1949 from General Francis Butcher, the last British commander-in-chief of India. The transfer of power from the British to India signifies an important moment in the Indian history. Army Day also honours soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the country. All the students liked the imparted information very much. They also felt proud of the Indian army for its valour and courage.
