Dear Parents,

Summer break is round the corner and vacation to us mean lots of fun, getting up late, watching television etc. But we can do lot more to make the vacation of our dear children more rewarding. Please encourage them to inculcate the habit of reading few pages of a good Story Book. They may also practice Yoga for a healthy mind and body. To further extend the in-school opportunities to learn, here’s is a list of other activities/exercises.

Maths:

1)      Collect the information about the favorite sports of your friends. Show it by making a pictorial table.

2)     Learn tables from 12 to 30

3)     Solve the worksheet given on Flip learn and learn the formulae related to the worksheet.

4)     Make a formulae dictionary based on Mensuration and geometry.

1. Cut 5 pictures of your choice from newspapers/magazines and write a paragraph in about 100 words.

2. Author  of “The Blue umbrella” is Ruskin Bond. Read the story and do research about author and write   

    including the following points: His birth , early life  , education , family and his hobbies

Science:

1. Prepare a Herbarium file ( collect five different types of species of leaves from flowering as well as non   flowering plants) and prepare a project file consisting of information about every species.

2. Solve the worksheet given on Fliplearn.

Social Studies

1. Draw a diagram of the earth and label the following.

    Torrid zone, Frigid zone, Temperate zone, Equator, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn,             

     Arctic Circle, Antarctic Circle, North Pole, South Pole.

2. Prepare a project report on different types of maps.

3.  Solve the worksheet given on Fliplearn.
