Dear Parents,

Summer break is round the corner and vacation to us mean lots of fun, getting up late, watching television etc. But we can do lot more to make the vacation of our dear children more rewarding. Please encourage them to inculcate the habit of reading few pages of a good Story Book. They may also practice Yoga for a healthy mind and body. To further extend the in-school opportunities to learn, here’s is a list of other activities/exercises.

      Maths:

1)      Draw the Sense graph on any 10 days of the month May and compare all the graphs. What do you inferred?

2)      Learn the squares and cubes of numbers from 12 to 30

3)       Solve the worksheet given on Fliplearn.

4)         Make a dictionary of important formulae used in Mensuration and Geometry.

   1) Write articles on following topics(each in 200 words)

           1)Yoga-a scientific process

           2)Social Media-is a double edged sword

           3)India-Upcoming super power

  2) Collect 3 interesting pictures from newspaper and describe them in about 100 words.

     Science:  

1.Solve the worksheet given on Fliplearn.

2. Collect different types of seeds and put them in small bags. Attach  these bags in a herbarium  file and label  

     them.

3. Collect new agricultural machine pictures and paste in a file with their names and uses.

4. Visit a farm, nursery or a garden nearby. Gather information about

    (i) importance of seed selection.           (ii) method of irrigation

 Social Studies:

1)      Give a brief report on the United Nations Organization its main wings and headquarter countries and their  present heads, also make a graphical representation of it.

2)      Imagine yourself as a citizen of Bengal and describe briefly the political , social and economical changes just after the Battle of  Plassey (1757)
