The Annual Literary Fest is an integral part of our school curriculum. The Millennium School has succeeded in pivoting the role of uniting esteemed schools of Amritsar city for the most awaited literary event of the year, The Millennium Challenge 2022, which was organised on 27th August in the school premises.
Ms. Shailja Tandon, the Principal, delivered the welcome address, emphasising the importance of platforms like these in encouraging young minds to realise their full potential. The judges for the event were Colonel Arvind Thakur, Prof. Neelam Prabha, Prof. Sudesh Nanda, Mrs Divya Khanna, Dr.Vandana Bajaj, Ms.Manjeet Minhas and Mrs.Kajal Bhalla. The school was buzzing with excitement after the inaugural session, with 22 schools from the city participating.

The school pulsated with enthusiasm and talent as the participants put their best foot forward in various genres on the theme ‘Patriotism’. Students of the primary wing passionately contested in Poetry Recitation- An ode to a soldier, the middle school delivered a speech cum presentation on ‘75 years of Indian Army’ and the senior wing debated on the topic ‘India needs Agnipath not Pensionpath’.
The students and teachers who had planned and conducted the competition were ecstatic at the response. The exuberance of participants was apparent and overwhelming.
For Debate, the first position was bagged by Spring Dale Senior School, second by Cambridge International School and third by Delhi Public School, Amritsar.
The title of Best Speaker: Proposition was awarded to Khushi Gaba of Cambridge International School and Best Speaker: Opposition was bagged by Gurupratap Singh of Spring Dale Senior School. Aashray Aggarwal of DAV International School won the title of Promising Speaker: Opposition, and Rakshit Kapoor of Bhavan's SL won the title of Promising Speaker: Proposition. Bhavnoor Singh Pannu of Cambridge International School bagged the title Best Interjector.
Speech Cum Presentation was won by Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School GT Road, Cambridge International School was placed second, and Excelsum High School and Spring Dale School tied for the third place. Pathseekers and G.D. Goenka School received the title of Praiseworthy Performance in Speech Cum Presentation.
Spring Dale Senior School won the Poetry Recitation, followed by Shri Ram Ashram Public School, The Mall, and Excelsum High School in second and third place, respectively. DAV Public School, Lawrence Road and Pathseekers were awarded the title Praiseworthy Performance for the latter.
Spring Dale Senior School won the Rolling Trophy in the Millennium Challenge 2022.
The forum was a kaleidoscope of opinion, thoughts, ideas and perspectives that enhanced the insight of all the spectators. The school principal Ms Shailja Tandon congratulated all the participating schools and encouraged the students to continue to reflect on pertinent issues of the present times.
