CIR - 5

TMS/CIR-5/17-18                                                                                                            6th April 2017

The Millennium School in its endeavor to contribute to the society is yet again partnering with “Goonj”.

As the academic session ends buying new and discarding old school material is inevitable for the children. In contrast many students in rural India still struggle for the basics like - pen/pencil school bag, shoes, water bottle etc.

The School is partnering with Goonj, an award winning voluntary organization (www.goonj.org) whose founder won the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay award 2015, for his creative vision in transforming the culture of giving in India. Goonj has launched its annual campaign “Khushiyon Ka Recycle”. Every one of us can DO something to ensure the happiness of the little ones.. Please refer www.goonj.org for more details or write to nagaich.shuchi@goonj.org/ harshie@goonj.org.

This is a simple act of giving and an opportunity for us to do our bit. Even if each child brings just a pack of five things - a note book, a water bottle, a pen, a school bag, a toy etc.. it will reach out the much needed school material to another in a far- flung village of India with care and dignity. In the process our children will learn the value of sharing and empathy for others who are less privileged than us.

A collection drive is organized from (7th April 2017) till (15th April 2017) at (The Millennium School, Indore).. Do act and spread the word. We would want you to help for the noble cause.

I look forward to your active participation in this drive for a worthwhile cause.

With best wishes

(Mrs.Sangeeta Uppal)
